"Baari Kyläkuppila Käpälämäki"

Kummakivi = A strange stone. About 40 minutes by car from the cottage = a pleasant walk to the stone that has been balancing in its position for thousands of years.

Finnish Forest Museum. An informative tour and excursion about the difficult lives of Finns living in harmony with nature in endless forests. Approximately 45 minutes by car.

"Punkaharju"

Lake routes and scenery through the complex system of Finland's largest lake, Saimaa. Possibility of steamboat cruises, etc.

"Fortress Olavinlinna"

Olavinlinna Castle from the 15th century in the Savonlinna area, about an hour's drive from the cottage.

"Parikkala Sculpture Park"

A unique kind of art by a sculptor who even used real human teeth in some of his sculptures. A place to visit for those who are not afraid is about half an hour away by car.
